I would recommned that Old Shepherd (Jennie’s father) gets on a good supply, he will have no difficulty in finding quick sale and good profit, and if Jennie wants to run her ‘chebang’ she will find that profitable too...” Fine condition....plus; 2pp. folio, East Point, Georgia, September 16, 1864, and reads in part: “...It is true we are relived from the eternal whistle of bullets and can have some assurance of an undisturbed nights sleep, but beyond this our rest amounts to nothing. I am getting most devilish tired of the army. If there was any chance I would come home this fall, and if I don’t change my mind I am going to try hard for it...McClellan is well liked and I think will run well. I think at least half our Regt are for McClellan...” Fine condition.
