Another great multi-portrait George McClellan 1864 Massachusetts "Regular Democratic Ticket" campaign ballot, 5 3/8" x 11 7/8", depicting McClellan flanked by George Washington and Andrew Jackson. After President Lincoln relieved McClellan of his duties in 1862 there was no "love lost" between the two men. As the 1864 Presidential campaign started the war effort was not going well for the Union, and it seemed that "Little Mac" might win the Presidency, but as the tide turned in late 1864 it was evident that Lincoln would win his second term only to have it cut short by assassination. Near fine.
