Rare George McClellan 1864 Ohio campaign ballot, 2 7/8" x 5 7/8", printed on fancy blue adversity. After President Lincoln relieved McClellan of his duties in 1862 there was no "love lost" between the two men. As the 1864 Presidential campaign started the war effort was not going well for the Union, and it seemed that "Little Mac" might win the Presidency, but as the tide turned in late 1864 it was evident that Lincoln would win his second term only to have it cut short by assassination.
