NEW, Harry Stewart (1858- 1937) was a U.S. politician, journalist, and Spanish–American War veteran. He served as Chairman of the Republican National Committee, a United States Senator from Indiana, and United States Postmaster General. Autograph Letter Signed “Harry S. New” 1pp. quarto, Washington, April 22, 1931, to Mr. John E. Boos, Albany, New York, and reads “I am glad to have your note of April 16. I had the honor as well as the pleasure to know the late President Harding very well for many years, and hold is memory in highest esteem...” Fine condition.
