Political Cartoon Signed, “Dwight Eisenhower” 14 ½” x 21 ½”, matted and framed to 21” x 27”. Eisenhower appointed Kimball to the National Labor Relations Board. Drawn to commemorate Arthur Alden Kimball ‘s (1908-1996) departure from his position as Staff Director of the President’s Advisory Committee on Government Operation in 1965. The cartoon is headlined “President’s Advisory Committee on Government Operation”, with Uncle Sam in the background, “Thanks Art For A Job Well Done”.Kimball was a career civil servant who was part of the prosecution staff for the Nuremberg Trials, and also helped establish the Economic Cooperation Administration for administering the Marshall Plan. The cartoon is signed by seventy associates of Kimball. In addition to Eisenhower, notable signers include: Milton Eisenhower and Maurice Stans.
