Each 8” x 4-1/4” partially printed, VG. The first is issued July 23, 1881 to J.M. Heenly, a business license for Peddler. ... plus, the second issued July 26, 1881, a business license for Keno game. Each license is stamped signed by the Mayor, John Clum. Clum later became the first mayor of Tombstone, Arizona Territory, after its incorporation in 1881. He also founded the still-operating The Tombstone Epitaph on May 1, 1880. While mayor he became lifelong friends with Wyatt Earp and became one of his greatest supporters.
