Mounted Albumen, 5-3/8’ x 4-1/8” to larger mount, of five Union soldiers, scantily clothed in remnants of their uniforms, no shoes, and clearly exhausted. Below the image is the period caption, “Union soldiers from Andersonville prison - as they appeared on their arrival at Jacksonville Fla. May 1865.” The mount has been cracked and repaired, still very good ... plus, Included with the photo comes a prison bone carving, 2” 3/4” of two hands opposing each other, connected by a heart. Incredible lot.
