War-date Confederate officer's letter, 2pp. 8vo., written by Lieut. Mann Page [WIA Cedar Mountain, Va., Aug. 9, 62], 21st Virginia Infantry, as inspector general, John M. Jones' Brigade, "Head Quarters Jones Brigd., Johnson's Division," June 19, 1863, to his uncle, David Copeland Randolph, reading, in part: "I take this opportunity…since I left Fredericksburg to write you a few lines…if you could come up here follow the army…you could by wagons & horses fill them with such things you and those among you want. If I had the time do it myself…if you have not already wrote my friends you had better take them and come up to us…I shall buy a good many horse if nothing else and send them to the rear…let me know what I have in the bank…if I get a good chance I will make some purchases for you…you had better come by Winchester…from there you will find how to get up to our army. I have no time to give you an account of our so far brilliant campaign…Mann Page. P. S. Saw Frank Kinkle [Pvt. Frank A. Kinckle Amherst Light Artillery WIA Cold Harbor and Fisher's Hill, Va.] the other day. He is very well. Have not seen Rai or Capt. [Captain Frank Irving, Co. D] since I left Fredericksburg. M. P." Expected soiling, else VG. Also included is a manuscript 12mo. check issued by Mann Page, "Head Quarters J. M. Jones Brigd. Johnson's Div, Camp near Mont Berlin, Sept. 4 1863," to William N.
