War-date party-printed Confederate "Clothing Receipt", document, 1p oblong 8vo., Barlow's Mill, Mobile, Ala., January 6, 1862 for Capt. J. B. Curtis', Co. B, 25th Alabama Infantry, issuing 74 jackets, pants, flannel shirt and shoes to his men. Interestingly, there is one entry, crossed out, are hickory shirts. The 25th had a bloodied career from Shiloh to the battle of Atlanta in 1864. There they lost nearly half their fighting force while managing to capture two battle flags and more Union prisoners than they had engaged. Near fine.
