Rare war-date partly-printed Confederate "Tri-Monthly Return" boldly signed twice by Brigadier General CHARLES C. CREWS, as colonel commanding, Barnwell Dist., S. C., Feb. 4, 1865, an attractive yellow paper form measuring, 9" x 23 1/2", being a full enumeration of the available fighting force "of Crews Brigade of Allen's Division, commanded by Col. C. C. Crews. Countersigned by Lt. Co. Samuel H. Hawkins, 2nd Georgia Cavalry, as a.a.g. Units included are the First, Second, Third and Sixth Georgia Cavalry regiment including Avery's Co. and Clinch's Co., 4th Georgia Cavalry. Crews became one of, if the very last Confederate general to be appointment with a confirmation date of April 15, 1865! Very minor paper loss in lower margin, else VG.
