North Carolina. April 4, 1748. Thirty Shillings. "Winged Stirrup" vignette. PCGS graded Fine-15. Fr. NC-68. Only a mere 2,000 notes of each denomination from this early 1748 North Carolina issue were printed. The "Winged Stirrup" vignette on this 30 Shillings denomination is once again used from the literally "unobtainable" earlier 1734 and 1735 issues. The holder notes splits, tears, damage and repairs, pieces replaced, stains, backed but the forget to mention the contemporary notations. A collectible note having all of its printed text bold and fully on the paper with a sharp clear "Winged Stirrup" vignette.
