Then, South Carolina, Resolved ... that a strict conformity to the resolves of this congress be recommended ... Then from Boston, "... the town of Marshfield entered into general Ruggles association against the liberty plan ... the faction there threatened to come down and make them recant ... The Marshfield association sent an express to Gage ... to beg his support ..."
