War-date Confederate soldier Autograph Letter Signed by George W. Noland, 57th Georgia Infantry and 1st Georgia Troops & Defense, 2pp. octavo, Headquarters 34 Mil. Distr. Georgia, May 18, 1864, addressed to Major John Flowers, DeKalb Co. Battalion, and reads in part: "...I have received election returns from Captain, 1st and 4th lieut. from 3rd Camp Gen. H.Q. DeKalb. There was a tie for 4th lieut. in the first election and Mr. Smith declined a commission and forwarded to Milledgeville..." More. Very good condition.
