General Orders No. 70 issued by the War Department, Adjutant General's Office, Washington, April 17, 1865, 1pp. octavo, and reads in part: "...That the military lines of the United States be extended to include within them the States of Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, North Alabama, and Tennessee, and that all military restrictions upon internal trade within said lines are annulled, except in arms, ammunition, gray cloth and all articles from which ammunition is manufactured...is absolutely prohibited..." Very good condition.
