A complete and authentic issue of The Natchez Weekly Courier, June 11, 862, 2pp, fine. This issue is printed on bright blue rag paper creating a stunning visual presentation. But, it's not just a pretty thing, it has important content. From the front page is "Butler's Proclamation", in part, "that hereafter when any female shall by word, gesture, or movement insult or show contempt for any officer or soldier of the United States she shall be regarded and held liable to be treated as a woman of the town plying her avocation". Another front page report, "Stonewall Jackson Pursuing Banks ... He Whips at Williamsport MD. ... 10,000 Marylanders Join Him".
