Partly-printed Document Signed by James Henry with his "X", 1pp. quarto, July 4, 1865, and reads "I, James Henry an enlisted free colored man, Volunteer of Co. E of the 4th Regiment United States Colored Troops, do constitute and appoint DANIEL T. OREM...my true and lawful attorney for me and me and in my name collect, demand, receive and receipt for the State of Maryland Bounty to which I may be entitled by virtue of my enlistment as a Volunteer..." Very good condition.
