Autograph Letter Signed "W.H. Van Riper, Principal and Manager of the San Antonio Detective Agency, February 5, 1898, addressed to C.H. Thompson, and reads in part: "...I got a telegraph from you saying that you would send a man down to examine the dogs & if they were satisfactory you would give me one hundred dollars for them...the party who trained them wrote me to send them to him...do you want them..." Fine condition.
