This is a very scarce SALEM, MA. printing of “The Essex Almanack For The Year Of Our Lord CHRIST 1771,” measuring 6.75” x 4”, with 18 pages, complete, Fine. Soiling to the covers, with the back cover lacking a 2.25” x 2.5” lower corner and the prior page trimmed lacking its bottom 1.5” portion, otherwise complete. Calculated for the Meridian of Salem in New England by Philo Freeman. Printed and Sold by Samuel Hall. Nice large illustration woodcut of an Eclipse of the Moon on page 3. The first of this Salem imprint we have offered.
