ABRAHAM YATES, JR. “Mr. Albany,” Revolutionary Patriot and Continental Loan Officer for New York. c. 1860, Large Die Sunk Proof Impression Engraving by Max Rosenthal (1833-1918). Uncolored, 4” x 6”, with margins extending to 10” by 15”, Fine. A slight stain in the lower right corner, a chipped lower left corner, and an uneven margin at top are slight flaws which judicious matting or cropping will vanish. If, during the Revolutionary era, there was any office to be filled in or near Albany, New York, Abraham Yates was there to fill it.
