An American Baptist Home Mission Societies treasury report, 2pp. legal size folio, Lockport, [New York], Sept. 14, 1846, addressed to "Rev. B. M. Hill, Cor[responding] Secty, [of the] Am[erican] Bap[tist] Home Mis[sion] Society," enumerating the donations collected by the Society during 1846 including getting up a drive to aid runaway slaves now in Canada, reading, in small part: "I am doing what I can tho that is not great. Other collections for a variety of objects are very numerous in this place as in all others. Last Sabbath a collection was taken for Refugee Slaves in Canada & a few days before for [?] Mis[sionary] & their proctor, Rev. Webster has now gone to [?] to collect for the meeting house debt at the Falls. - I expect to meet yourself & a number of the board at Elbridge at the convention to receive further orders - I pray that the Holy Spirit may let me have Christ in the Soul, all else is worthless - C. M. Fuller, agt." The original postal marked "Lockport, Sept. 15" transmittal leaf, addressed: "rev. Ben'jm. M. Hill, Cor. Secty. of Am. Bap. Home Mis. Society" is included. Near fine, else VG.
