Circular issued by Arthur Hornbui Bell (1891-1973) an attorney and the Grand Dragon of the Ku Klux Klan in New Jersey. 1pp. quarto, c. 1920s, being a State of New Jersey Ku Klux Klan "Official Bulletin" issued "TO ALL LOYAL 100% AMERICANS - REALM OF NEW JERSEY." stating that "SPECIAL KLAN DAY - DECORATION DAY, MONDAY, MAY 31st" will be held at the State Fair grounds at Mt. Holly, New Jersey...." Fine condition. The Ku Klux Klan has had a history in the U.S. state of New Jersey since the early part of the 1920s. The Klan was active in the areas of Trenton and Camden and it also had a presence in several of the state's northern counties in the 1920s. It had the most members in Monmouth County, and operated a resort in Wall Township.
