Manuscript Map, 10" x 8", titled "Sketch of Engagement between General A. Pleasonton and the Rebels under J.E.B. Stuart", June 9th, 1863. The scale is 2" = 1 mile. The Federal troop lines are in Black and Blue ink; the Rebel troop lines are in Red and Yellow ink. Roads, railroad, stone fences, rivers and roads are also noted. The sketch is signed by "Capt. V.E. Von Koerber, Top. Eng." Vincent E. VonKoerber, on 4/26/1862 he was commissioned into MD 1st Cavalry, POW (date and place not stated), Exchanged 9/21/1862 Aiken's Landing, VA.
