c. 1850, "THE BUNKER HILL SONGSTER," Printed Songbook, 34 pages in decorative woodblock black printed white front cover. Choice Crisp Extremely Fine. This history oriented Printed Songbook measures 2.75" x 4.25" and commemorates the Battle of Bunker Hill (Breed's Hill) fought on June 17, 1775. Printed by "Wm. H. Murphy, Printer, Publisher, Bookseller and Stationer, No. 384 Pearl Street, New York". This song booklet "Containing National and Patriotic Songs as sung by the Principal Vocalists." Songs include; "Oh! Spare the Glorious Eagle," Written for Mr. Quayle, by Silas S. Steele, "and sung with rapturous applause." A very neat item that looks great for display purposes.
