In part "I send down 54 or 55 uniforms that the Domestic for Uniform could be bought at Claiborne I send 1 suit made up for a patron - we are too poor to buy trimmings - We would like to have stripe but have not the money... I send the buttons & some thread…do the best you can.. ... sew every man's name on his suit…." Fine
