To The Maryland Society, Richmond VA Music Sheet, 6pp., titled "There's Life in the Old Land Yet", lyrics written by Jas. R. Randall, Esq. who also wrote "Maryland My Maryland" the state song of Maryland. The sheet was published by A. E. Blackmar & Bro., New Orleans, 1862. First printed in the Richmond Examiner, written while the author was in prison. Here are a few lines, "When the Southern braves are met; , There's faith in the victor's stainless sword, There's life in the old land yet!" ..and, "There's life, though it throbbeth in silent veins,'Tis vocal without noise, It gushed o'er Manassas' solemn plains, Front the blood of the MARYLAND BOYS!" ... VG.
