Confederate States Bond, 23" x 18", 1863, 100 Pounds Sterling or 2,500 Francs, Series D, 7% Cotton Loan, issued against 4,000 lbs cotton. Issued and Uncancelled Bond, Black ornate border, Allegorical woman top center by cotton bales holding a Confederate flag while the sun rises (or sets) over the ocean. The center panel is printed in both English and French. Both the left and right panels are coupons, 36 remaining. VG
