DAVID DIXON PORTER (1813-1891). United States Navy Admiral, one of the most noted and celebrated Union Naval Heroes influential in winning the Civil War. This is an original 3.25" x 2" Card Boldly Signed, "David Porter / Admiral", no date or place, Choice Extremely Fine. Porter served in the Mexican War and with distinction during the Civil War. Minor soiling. The vivid deep brown signature "David Porter" measures fully across the card.
