This postwar souvenir facsimile of prison camp newspaper February 17, 1864, Camp Ford, Tyler, Smith Co., Texas, Vol.1, No.1., 12pp., plus separate cover, plus a printed preface. According to the preface, written by J.P. Robens, "The Old Flag" was published during an imprisonment of 13 months in Tyler, Texas. Separate issues. Contains camp news, poems, advertisements, jokes, and some war news. Contains a list of prisoners in this issue. This litho facsimile was printed c. 1883 by John P. Rosen listed as enlisting at 21 years old on 18 December 1862 at New York City, New York as a 1st Lieutenant. On that date he was commissioned into "E" Co. NY 176th Infantry. Listed as a prisoner of war 23 June 1863 at Brashear City, Louisiana.
