The Tuskegee Airmen were a group of primarily African American military pilots and airmen who fought in World War II. They formed the 332d Fighter Group and the 477th Bombardment Group of the United States Army Air Forces. The group of 5" x 3" cards are each signed on the face and identified on the obverse. Nine are photocards, fourteen printed named cards, many with image of the pilot. The photocards include, Elbridge Williams, Oliver Goodall, Joseph Gomer, Utha Knox, Wendall Freeland, George Biigs, Noel Harris, Walter McCteary, and James Bowman. The signed cards are, Edward Tillman, Eugene Derricotte, Fred Johnson, Harold Brown, Wilfred DeFour Sr., Enoch Woodhouse, Richard Rutland, Charles Nolley, Thomas Ellis, Eugene Richardson, James Warren, Daniel Keel, George Boyd, Wilson Eagleson, and Leroy Brown.
