Real photo postcard, ID'd in the negative, "Hanging of Ruggles Bros. Redding Cal. 1892. Very good condition. The brothers were arrested for their stage coach robbery May 12, 1892. A trial was set for July 28, 1892. On July 24, a group of masked men entered the jail and took the brothers out of their cell. They were hanged together from a derrick, Redding, California. No one was ever prosecuted for the lynching.
