c. 1830 to Mid 19th Century, Excellent Quality Miniature Watercolor Portrait of President George Washington on a thin natural white organic material, measuring 3” x 2.5”, Framed, Fine. This beautiful Miniature Bust Portrait is of George Washington as President, Painted in Watercolor, showing Washington dressed in his formal civilian attire. This original Painting is bright with a crisp sharp image and pleasing background. There is some trivial wear to the extreme outer exterior edges from simple frame rub, to the decorative small gilt wooden frame measuring to 4.5” x 5”. There is no artist signature, date or place, as is typical. This historic Portrait painting is on a thin natural white organic material, often commonly used for quality miniature portraits painted during the Federal period.
