c. 1847, Engraved Contribution Certificate for the Building of the Washington Monument, Fine. This early Engraved Contribution Certificate measures about 7.5" x 8.75" being Partially-Printed and completed in manuscript in rich deep brown ink. It records that Mr. Eric Densmore has "contributed $1 50/100 to the Erection of the National Washington Monument." Image shows a large portrait bust of President George Washington with his signature in facsimile below. Some scattered foxing with two prominent old ink spots in the blank outer fields away from the engraving, yet quite uncommon and rarely available fully issued.This Engraved Contribution Certificate measures about 7.5" x 10.5". It is pre-printed and finished in manuscript. It shows "Mr. Eric Densmore has contributed $1.50 to the erection of the National Washington Monument." Image shows a bust of Washington with facsimile signature below. Stains.
