Positive War Reporting Propaganda Political Print 8-1/2" x 10-7/8", withdrawn from Punch, July 26, 1862, VG. Titled, "The Latest from America," with a caption, "Or, the New York Eye-Duster to be taken every day." The political cartoon aims to make light of the daily newspapers' war news sent out from New York. President Lincoln is represented as a bartender mixing from the Victory cup to Defeat cup with bottles inscribed "Bunkum," "Bosh" and "Brag," on the bar. Also on the bar is a copy of the New York Herald.
