A nicely engraved Confederate Bank Note with slave labor and overseer vignette, being a five-dollar note issued by "The State of Alabama," Montgomery, Alabama, January 1, 1864 which is payable in Confederate treasury notes. A mounted overseer looks on laboring slaves while riding a horse and holding a riding crop. Issued as note No. 2008 and signed by W. J. Greene and D. B. Graham. Printed by lithographer J. T. Paterson, Augusta, Alabama. Minor margin tears and wrinkles, else VG
