A nicely engraved Confederate Bank Note with slave labor and overseer vignette, being a five-dollar note issued by "The State of Alabama," Montgomery, Alabama, January 1, 1864 which is payable in Confederate treasury notes. A mounted overseer looks on laboring slaves while riding a horse and holding a riding crop. Issued as note No. 2008 and signed by W. J. Greene and D. B. Graham. Printed by lithographer J. T.
