A very rare chance to own a real photo post card of an newly created Jewish Welfare Board member. The Jewish Welfare Board was formed in April, 1917 in order to help support Jewish soldiers who served in the American army during WWI. The organization oversaw the Jewish military chapels while also helping recruit and train rabbis who would serve with the troops in the field and at homeland military bases. Published by Marlborough Photo Studios, Broadway, NYC with period pencil identification as, E. Schulman." Stapled to the postcard is a single slip of paper with a period paper cutout of the Jewish Star insignia adopted by the (JWB), the same that is seen on Schulman's lower sleeve. Light soiling, else VG.
