From the front page, "To Be Sold into the Country For Five Years, A Negro Man who understands all kinds of farming business ..." Then from page 3, "Ran-Away last Easter Monday .. two NEGRO MEN, .. very likely, ... smooth skinned, .. brothers, ... has large scar on one side of his face ... intend to New Jersey ... Another report from England cites several slave ads in a number of newspapers. .. plus, National Intelligencer, November 16, 1813, 4pp., disbound, loose at spine, VG. From pg. 3, Notice was committed to the jail of Frederick County .. a negro man who calls himself ISAAC Howard ... he has a small scar across his forehead, one on his eyebrow, one under his lip ... he belongs to James Ogg who is requested to come and release him ..
