Patison,” Alabama, 4pp. quarto, September 5, 1842 , with integral address to Captain Remington Smith and reads in part: “...During our revival I was out at ch[urch] about 40 nights in secession, with the exception of one or two nights....I have baptised since the first of May some 25 & a few more are expected to come before the ch[urch] soon...I was determined to make some prodicious effort & the Lord I was sure would bless me if he really had a work for me to do. I went forward in his strength & appointed a protracted meeting & went from house to house in the chh & congregation & before the day arrived for the meeting to commence there was apparent deep ffeling & three or four professed conversion...” Much more....plus; Autograph Letter Signed, 4pp. quarto, Eastport, Mississippi, December 6, 1836, with mostly family content.
