Antique Christian book titled, "Scripture History For Youth, The New Testament" published by London Printing and Publishing Company, 6" x 7", 303pp., back board loose but present, interior pages are clean, nd, circa 1820. The inside front cover carries this inscription, "Thomas Jackson, Left to him by his Father, Lexington". It is unknown whose hand wrote these words, perhaps his mother. His father and his older sister, Elizabeth, were killed by typhoid fever when he was 2 years old. Or, perhaps it was his uncle. When he was seven, Thomas was sent to live with his uncle Cummings Jackson. The book comes with the CDV of Jackson and a Statement of Ownership by renown Confederate dealer Shannon Pritchard.
