Manuscript Document Signed “Delia Haywood” 1pp. folio, January 5, 1826, Wake County, North Carolina, and reads in part: “...Know all men by these presents that whereas by the last will and testament of my deceased husband Stephen Haywood he gave to me ten of such slaves as I might select among the negroes derived from Miss Margaret Craven when a division should take place of those slaves between my son William Dallas Haywood and the Estate of my deceased husband...do hereby select Jim, Peter, Moses, Allen, Cato, Mark, Davy, Sam, John, Joseph...” Fine condition.
