Benjamin Franklin Commemorative Silk Ribbon, City of Roxbury (Massachusetts) Common Council, Black Imprint on White Silk, Choice Very Fine. An original Commemorative Black Printed on White Silk Ribbon, measuring 9.25" x 3" produced for the Dedication of the Benjamin Franklin Statue in Boston. An oval Portrait of Franklin is at center with the official Seal Of City Of Roxbury at bottom. Erected in 1856, the 8-foot tall bronze Statue of Benjamin Franklin, by Richard S. Greenough, is Boston's first public portrait statue. It is located in front of Boston's Old City Hall. Handsome, historical, and very scarce.
