Anderws'; 6/27, "Travel Notes in Bible Lands" an illustration of 'Bethany' in Palestine.; 7/11, Nice article: "Salt Lake and Its Rulers" includes prints of "Governor Brigham Young, of Utah Territory"; 8/1, Five Winslow Homer prints; 10/3, 'Mining Life in California', two showing gambling: 'Faro' and 'Monte'; 10/10, Front page features an article: "A Panic in Wall Street"; Charles Dickens serialized portion of "The Lazy Tour Of The Two Idle Apprentices" in 5 issues from October 31, 1857 through November 28, 1857; 12/26, Nice frontpage illustration and article on: 'The Hon. Stephen A. Douglas. The boards are present although loose from the spine causing the issues to also be loose.
