Gilmore, Published by Richard Saalfield, New York, 6pp. folio, 1881, with nice engraving of Garfield and thick mourning borders. Very good condition. James Abram Garfield (1831-1881) was the 20th president of the United States, serving from March 4, 1881, until his death by assassination six and a half months later. He is the only sitting member of the United States House of Representatives to be elected to the presidency.
