Softcover publication advertising/describing the book containing various formats of photographs for the President with the history of each portrait. Printed by A. Kimball Co., New York. 5-3/4” x 9-1/4". Strong bound. Nice clean pages. Great condition. WITH AN ORIGINAL silver-print from the original negative of Lincoln tipped-in. (NOTE: This photo needs to be pictured…!) In the late 1890s, Frederick Hill Meserve, the son of a Union solider, started collecting photographs from the Civil War. Collecting Memorial and Mount Rushmore. The collection is vast - over 70,000 items - and became a family project for five generations.
