Stereoviewidentified on the verso "The President's House. It is located in the Western part of the City. The corner-stone was laid October 13, 1792. It was built of sand-stone, painted white, and is 170 feet long by 82 deep. the cost of the President’s Hose up to 1814 was $333, 207, at which time it was burned by the British, and was soon afterwards rebuilt, at a cost of $301,496.”
