Foanier two hundred & sixty four dollars & sixty three cents...” Signed “Accepted payable at the Bank of Washington Nath. P. Bixby.” Additional signatures on verso. Fine condition....plus; Autograph Document Signed “John Griffin” 1pp. small quarto, Washington City, May 25, 1852, and reads “Received of S.P. M. Brown eleven thousand five hundred dollars upon the following terms, fifteen hundred dollars cash, a note for two thousand dollars at three, six, nine and twelve months and four notes for two thousand dollars each at one two three and four years...” Fine condition.
