Broadside, 7” x 9,” titled Fa(rme)r’s Boy, Star-Spa(ng)led banner, and The Sea” with printer credits, “Sold wholesale and retail, by Leonard Deming, no. 61 Hanover Street, Boston, and at Middlebury, Vt.,” the printing includes the controversial third verse which includes “No refuge could save the hireling and slave, From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave, And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave, O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave”. Thumb paper loss at top affecting text, minor water stain, old folds.
