Mezzotint Engraving titled, "Washington at Home.", by Henry Bryan Hall After the famous painting by Alonzo Chappel, New York, c. 1867, impressive mammoth size engraving measuring 17.75" x 23.25", framed to an overall size of 25.25" x 31.75", not examined out of the gold gilt vintage wooden frame. In this image, George, Martha, and Martha's two youngest children who were adopted by Washington are seen together. George sits, holding a book; Martha stands behind him with her knitting, and the two children are in the background. Housed under glass in an old wooden frame.
