Levi Peirce served as a major in the War of 1812, was a Representative to General Court in Massachusetts from 1805-1809, a member of the state Constitutional Convention in 1820, and the Postmaster at Middleborough for 30 years. Document Signed “Levi Peirce” on Military Service Pay Order. Dated Dec. 16, 1814, this document orders Capt. Silvanus Tillson to pay the bearer $11.o0 for militia services during the War of 1812.
