1734-Dated (printed 1733) Colonial America Imprint titled, "An Astronomical Diary; Or, Almanack For the Year of Our Lord CHRIST, 1734." by Nathaniel Ames, "Printed for the Booksellers and Sold at their Shops.", 14 pages, Complete, Boston, Fine. Nathaniel Ames (1708-1764), was a Colonial American physician who also published a popular series of annual Almanacs. He was the son of Nathaniel Ames the first (1677-1736), the father of Nathaniel and Fisher Ames. The family was descended from William Ames of Bruton, Somerset, England, whose son William immigrated to Massachusetts and settled at Braintree as early as 1640. This very early Colonial Boston published Almanack dated 1734 is nicely printed and clean in black ink on early Colonial laid period paper. It measures about 4.25" x 7", with 14 pages, string bound and complete, some pages partially separating at the spine, with some edge chipping and loss at bottom right corners to the front and back covers.
