Paragraph reports throughout Europe, Lisbonne, Vienna, Hungary, Hambourgh, Poland, Hague, Paris, Swisserland ... and others. Just few brief reports, London, "Some days since appeared in this town a person pretending to be son to late King of Spain ... he obtained at the present an assistance of 400 Pistols, but upon further examination, has been discovered to be a Jew personating the Prince ... for which he stands committed prisoner ...". ... plus, another report, "The Polish Ambassadour sent into Russia with the News of His Majesties late Resignation, has by his Letters to Warsaw signified, that about the time he was ready to depart from Moskow, there happened in that City a sudden and violent fire, which had destroyed about 30 thousand Houses, 500 Churches and Chappels, and a Magazine, where was burnt a great deal of Cloth, to the value of above 50 thousand Ducats". ... plus, Another report, Marseilles, "The Grand Master ... having called a Council to consider the most effectual means of assisting the besieged City of Candia considerable persons of the Order of all Nations, freely offered to hazard their lives in that service; and that the Grand Master had made choice of 60 Knights, to each of whom he ordered an hundred Crowns by way of advance, and half a Crown a day for their pay, with an allowance to their servants of 10 Crowns for advance, and 5 Crowns a Month for their pay; with whom are also to be sent 300 Soldiers, besides such others as are willing to leave their employment on the Gallies. and four ships are ordered to attend them for their Transportation, with a considerable supply of all sorts of necessaries... (The siege of Candia (modern Heraklion, Crete) was a military conflict in which Ottoman forces besieged the Venetian-ruled city. Lasting from 1648 to 1669, or a total of 21 years. Many believe this siege was part of the Crusades).
